I was using old laptop computer with Windows 10, which have not been used much those 8 years this computer has been around, which is really sad.
However, that Windows operating system is always displaying some popup windows trying to get users to connect with Microsoft services and others ect. which can be annoying. But then in general it's just a boring operating system, though it may have some decent graphical environment theme. There is just something really off with that Windows OS.
I had forgot how much Windows actually sucks.
So, a decision was made, to format the laptop and install the new PopOS Linux on it.
I have to say it's way more attractive with its graphical environment theme imo, and it match as well with jumble.social nostr web client 😄
I'm sure this laptop will now on be used more with this nice PopOS system installed on it.
The tilling window mode is really nice on a laptop that PopOs is offering and I can feel how the workflow is way more smoother on PopOs than on Windows, with its built in keybindings and tiling window mode.
Maybe old computer, but it for sure feels as a new one, while using to post on Nostr!

Lesson learned!
Went in a little "self-hosted NIP-05 verification" rabbit hole today because of just one extra " , " in my nostr.json file which lead to it didn't work and nostr clients where rejecting my verification.
And then while I was in I this rabbit hole exploring for solution and discovering there was just this extra " , " in my file, I also discovered there is possible to use nostr.php file instead which allow more than one name verification, without exposing all the users in the nostr verification file.
Sweet!
Amazing what one extra (or missing) " , " error can lead do.
My new Nostr verification is working beautifully now 🤩

Sometimes it’s good to brainstorm about the issue with others.
I thought if the bitaxe would have an issue with the pool it would automatically switch over to the “fallback pool”.
Therefore I was only focused on the miner 🤦
The only thing that was needed to do was to restart the pool 😬

The Frequency is set to 525 (default) and Core voltage is set to 1150 (default).
The target temperature is set to 60C.
Unfortunately, I didn't read the log file before I rebooted it
At first it was just hanging at 1.12 TH/s, but all shares had gone to 0.
So I thought it might just need a reboot, but then after the reboot everything was at 0.

Have been running #Bitaxe Gamma about 6 weeks now.
But it has now decided to stop hashing.
I have tried to restart the bitaxe, then allowing it to cool down, but it still doesn't hash anymore after reboot.
Also updated the firmware to the latest, but still no sign of any hash.
Anyone have had this issue and know what might be going on with the device and what might need to be done to solve this issue (if possible)?
It now feels like my Bitaxe is missing out multiple BTC every 10 minutes, while not hashing 😋

Kannski er líka vandamálið með íslensku útgáfuna, að íslensk tækni hugtök eru ekki alltaf nóu “sexý” ☺️
Ef ég les þessa íslensku útgáfu með það til hliðsjónar að lesandi hafi aldrey kynnt sér Bitcoin og er jafnvel ekki beint tækni sinnaður, þá get ég sætt mig betur við þessa þýðingu.
Lesandi nær kannski betur að tengja betur við orð eins og “hnútur” frekar en “nóða”, eða “króna” í staðinn fyrir “mynt”.
Það hugtak sem ég set samt efst á listann minn sem mætti endurskoða er orðið “blokk”.
Þar sem nú þegar er alltaf talað um “bálkakeðju” á íslensku, væri líklega réttast að kalla þetta einnig “bálki” í “hvítbókinni” en ekki “blokk”.
Í bókfærslu getur t.d. orðið “bálki” líka vísað til kassa fullan af bókhaldsgögnum raðað í ákveðni tímaröð.

Any good docs out there for Core users to switch over to Knots, with step by step guide to have in mind, if that is needed?
For those who are running LN channels with Core and would like to switch over to Knots, do they need to close LN Channels first to prevent a “force closes” or are no need to worry about Channel closing at all?

Have been enjoying The Reorg podcast show so far, where they read and discuss old and legendary Bitcoin and Austrian economics articles.
It has also been quite nice to just picked up an analog notebook to take some notes.
By writing down notes on physical paper. It’s feels also like it’s written down better to the memory in the mind, rather than just pick on a keyboard.
