the ubiquiti device bridge switch is amazing. I use it indoors so you would probably need to protect it, but great speed!

current paperwhite but no Amazon ecosystem - calibre. Tried a Kobo colour device first but the colour screens are just slightly blurry. Physical buttons would be nicer but the touch works well enough.

you could even just get one real Vanishing Point instead of trying to fix the copies, job done. I admit I have two now, but when I got the first it stopped me spending so much money on pens. The one in my other office that I won’t be using for three weeks has ink in it, I’m confident that it will pick up and write first time when mid-January comes.

does it not bother you to buy such a blatant knockoff? The VP is quite an original design and one of the best pens there is. I am often surprised to find mine writing perfectly after being left alone for two weeks.

That definitely sounds like bad filament; if it’s hot and it can’t be melted through, it can’t be melting well enough at the temp it is supposed to flow. No chance of PETG or some hotter filament residue in there?

With a MK3 (small drive wheels) some softer PLA would occasionally fail to feed and when pulled out showed that the gears had chewed a cylindrical bite so that they could no longer grip. (MK4 large drive wheel has never failed though)

I just bought my first kindle two weeks ago. So happy I never used anything but epub loaded through Calibre. Think I’ll donate to that project.

it might be down to switch pricing and put in free shipping? But it has been available for order for a couple of weeks. Kits come later but fully built are there.

I’ll likely take advantage of free shipping later today and get Core One. I have MK4S already so shared parts, and if it is even slightly better I will be very impressed. “Open” for me is not very important but compulsory cloud is a hard no!
