The only exception is if you've found a source that has proven trustworthy to do the research for you.
If you have any sources like that please drop them in the comments below, and ideally let me know some things they got right that built your trust - thanks!

I wish those of us who get our perspective about what's happening in the world from news or social media would normalize admitting we're uninformed.
These topics are so complex and there's plenty of lies and obfuscation, so unless you've put some effort into real research, it's best to have a lightly held opinion, and definitely don't let it upset you.

There's a dating paradox that you want to find "the right person" but also they can only become the right person if you choose them and they choose you back.

I get that it’s a metaphor, but I kind of hate the love story in Ayn Rand’s, “The Fountainhead.”
What a false dichotomy to suggest that purpose and ambition are in conflict with, or superior to, being together with a romantic partner with whom you share deep aspects of your worldview.
Rand herself didn’t live this way. In fact, she dedicated “The Fountainhead” to her husband, Frank, without whom she says she wouldn’t have been able to finish writing it.
“The essence of the bond between us is the fact that neither of us has ever wanted or been tempted to settle for anything less... We never will.”
The two of them were able to believe in the world she was trying to convey, even when no one else around them was thinking that way.
Perhaps that’s the magic of an aligned relationship for creatives and innovators—as you strive to bring forth the ideal that lives in your mind, at least between the two of you, it can be real immediately.
As Rand puts it,
“I want to see, real, living, and in the hours of my own days, that glory I create as an illusion. I want it real. I want to know that there is someone, somewhere, who wants it, too.
Or else what is the use of seeing it, and working, and burning oneself for an impossible vision? A spirit, too, needs fuel. It can run dry.”
Whether romantic or otherwise, I hope we can all find those people to carry the gift and the burden of faith in things yet unseen together with us.

This was such a cool experience getting to pitch my startup @projectqrio at @fiesta.community in Austin. I’ve taught some big dance classes but have never spoken in front of this many people before.
Putting myself out there every day has been both draining and rewarding, because it means a real risk of rejection, but also a real possibility for success.
It’s exciting to see Qrio becoming more real, little by little. So grateful to all my friends, family, mentors, etc who are supporting me in this journey.

One of the most exciting things to me is to sit down at my laptop, with my body, mind, and spirit feeling good, knowing I have many hours set aside to work, and no urgent tasks that need to get done.
The possibilities of what I could accomplish are so exciting! 😃😆
First step is to re-evaluate my long term goals and figure out what I want to get done. To make a list. Then to create time blocks to keep myself focused.
Work party, whoop whoop! 🥳🎉💻

Having such mixed feelings as I prepare to leave Japan after being here for almost two months. I grew up here, but hadn’t been back since before the pandemic.
I love Japan, and I’m glad that so many people around the world are fans. But I think it’s common for a person coming back to the place you lived when you were a child to feel both nostalgic affection, and some clash between your way of living as the person you were in that setting, vs the person you’ve grown to be while you’ve been away.
I have really mixed feelings, actually. In a way it’s very natural to be here and I’m loving it, but it also feels super unhealthy and disconnected from the life I want to create for myself.
I crave the sun. I want to eat healthy and get strong, build a life outside of dance, make a big impact on the world, and ideally fall in love with someone who’s a good match for me. Though I’m having a great time, I don’t feel like I’m moving towards any of that here.
I’ve lived many different lives, and sometimes my past feels surreal and distant, but being in Japan, seeing some old faces, makes that part real again.
I feel grateful to be here, sad to leave. I’m going to miss everyone so much. At moments I’ve considered staying longer to push through and try to create a life that fits the new me here (mostly because I’m curious if it’s possible, and don’t want to feel like I’ve lost to my environment). But I don’t see a realistic way to do that yet, and putting myself in a more aligned setting is much easier.
As I write this I’m sitting in an Izakaya eating liver yakitori and enjoying the good vibes. My favorite (Japanese) song from when I was a teenager just came on. The drunk people are singing along. Going to enjoy every minute I have left here, and look forward to what’s next. :)
