@npub1rx6…pdar Hi Lucas. I hope you are well and that the Moshidon development is going well. It's probably already on your to-do list, but my biggest request for the new Moshidon is that you bring back full width posts, instead of having the wasted space under the profile photos. Also, the old version has loads of great customisation settings. Will they return too? Thanks.

Seems there's a gap in the market for a #European #vpn provider that explicitly say they don't support far right fascists and suchlike. And no, it seems #ivpn isn't it. I wouldn't trust them, with their purposely vague response. It's almost a bad as #mullvad's official response. The time for being apolitically is over. Pick a side and fight for it.

Some more of the bluebell wood. It's a very special place. It's somewhere you can't 'just' walk through. Instead, it requires slow, gentle steps, with reverence and awe at the beauty in sight and smell. It's a place known to local people throughout the generations. Each one being brought here by their parents or grandparents. You can almost feel the memories here. You can't help but leave feeling changed by the experience.

I would LOVE to see the #GreenParty grow to become the UK opposition or even in government one day. My instant thought though is "but that'll never happen". It's thinking like that that will prevent this possibility. I really hope the country is fed up enough with voting for the same people and getting worse results every time. I really hope the Greens can make a huge breakthrough. They won't be perfect. No party is. But they offer a picture of a much brighter future.

Everyone knows this. It's been obvious since the dawn of time that it's cooler underneath trees. It hardly takes "professors", "scientists" or "experts" and yet people are still chopping down trees and covering more of the earth with concrete. More and more green land is becoming housing estates because it's 'cheaper' than developing brownfield sites. It's just not sustainable. #ClimateChange

The tree is re-coppiced every 20 years to boost its health and vigor. We remember when it was done in 2012 and it was a devastating sight to see. It's hard to believe that everything you see now has regrown just over the last 13 years.

2025-05-18 18:34:35 UTC

This Lime tree is estimated to be 2,000 years old and this is what it looks like inside. The tree has grown outward over time to form a ring of connected clumps. There's something very special indeed about standing at it's centre and being surrounded by something so ancient. #trees #AncientTrees

"It was widely believed that a local landmark was created on #GoodFriday. The twin peaks of Mynydd Ysgyryd Fawr (The Skirrid).
Legend has it that at the moment of the crucifixion, there was a great earthquake near Abergavenny which caused part of the summit to collapse, giving it the staggered shape it has today.
This legend resulted in the mountain becoming an important place of medieval pilgrimage. Its English name. ‘Skirrid’ is an anglicisation of the Welsh word ‘Ysgyryd’ meaning ‘shake’."

If you come, please only park where you're supposed to. No, you can't just overflow onto the land if the car parks are full. Be kind and respectful to the land you're visiting. Don't leave any litter behind. Wear sensible shoes so you don't waste the time of Mountain Rescue. Don't defecate on the mountain, especially not on the paths (yes it happens). I don't know how it can be fixed. I was going to say just in tiny steps over many many years, but... Trump has managed to cause absolute havoc in just a few months. I wonder if it might be possible to have an equally radically shift towards sanity too? There's always hope.

I've been catching up on all the overnight posts from America. What a mess. It's a completely different way of thinking for roughly half of them over there.
If the deranged orange man says "I ate a banana", they're all like "Bananas! F*ck yeah! Bananas are great! Make American bananas great again! Let's feed bananas to our banana intolerant child! Shoot all other bananas! Hooah! Foreign bananas are taking our jobs!
It's like they can't think for themselves. Brainwashed from birth.

Lovely #LunchtimeWalk today. The bluebell wood is still all green. Looking forward to seeing it turn blue again.

I've been looking forward to this #StandingStoneSunday after our visit to the amazing Boscawen-Un circle. Consisting of 19 standing stones plus its distinctive leaning central stone. There are also some others led down (to the left of the photo) that look like they might once have been a small burial chamber, or maybe marked the entrance.

That's (what was left of) the reputation of America in absolute tatters. Shameful behaviour. It's lost any right to respect on the world stage. Its leadership is without any statesmanship or class. It's time the entire world America-proofed itself because no one can rely on it now. Apologies to the nice Americans that didn't vote for this bunch of idiot bullies with more money than sense. #uspol

I'm a big fan of @npub1l38…ky3k. I've been using it for years since it completely revitalised my old laptop, giving it many more years of life it would never have had running Windows. When I bought my new laptop last year, the first thing I did was put #LinuxMint on it... and it's amazing. I send a donation to them every year at around this time, to show my appreciation for what their hard work has given me. If you're also a user, I encourage you to send them something.

Sure. Posts are being tagged with #Rugby so tried filter keyword of "rugby". Also tried different capitalisation and with and without a # in front of it.

Hi Lucas. Yes I believe so. Just to clarify, these are posts from an account I follow and have the notifications enabled on. The posts that should be filtered out are still visible on the notifications page if the filter is set to 'Hide with warning'.

Hiya. Thank you for checking. I think I've worked out it's an issue with the @npub1rx6…pdar app. It seems to ignore the filter if the filter is set to 'Hide with a warning' but it does honour the filter if it's set to 'Hide completely'.

Hi @npub14hk…5flf. Are you aware of any issues with filters not working? Not sure if it's just me but I still see notifications containing keywords that, in theory, should be filtered out.

Thank the gods we live a million miles away from the lesser orange one. I know everything they do over there has an impact on the rest of the world but I am very glad there's a lot of water between us. #AmericaIsLost. I really hope the UK government grows a spine (unlikely I know) and distances itself from the madness. Here's a radical idea. Countries could just stick to their own current land boundaries and work towards the betterment of their population. Crazy I know.

About to take my car to the garage. I have to get back home on the 'public transport', you know, that mode of transportation the commoners used to use. I've had all the vaccinations I'm allowed and I've brushed up on how to converse with lower classes. I think a ticket costs about £100 for 4 miles. If you don't hear from me again, it's been fun. Wish me luck! 😊

I'm finding it a bit sad to see so many people on my timeline encouraging others to follow them on Blue Sky. Feels like a Mastodon exodus for no fault of it's own. Blue Sky just seems to have the 'big brand name' appeal, backed by a billionaire. Reminds me of how some people will buy literally anything with an Apple logo on it, even if it's shit.
