Thank you for trying out Coop. In the current version, sending a picture works the same as putting a URL in a message and sending it. NIP-17 has instructions for sending encrypted file event messages (https://github.com/nostr-protocol/nips/blob/master/17.md#file-message-kind), but Coop doesn't support it yet. I already have it planned, but I want to wait until Coop is a bit more stable.

Thank you for your report. I've identified the problem with Amber. Regarding the timeout when loading DMs, the issue might be that Coop failed to connect to your NIP-17 relays, or the user hasn't authenticated yet.
Currently, there are no logs that show users the status of relay connections. I will work on this immediately after I finish other fixes. This is my detailed plan to improve this:
- 1: Coop will fetch the user's NIP-65 relays. If not found, it will ask the user to create them (currently, Coop will time out)
- 2: Coop will fetch the user's NIP-17 relays from their NIP-65 relays. If not found, it will ask the user to create them.
- 3: Fetch all gift wrap events from the user's NIP-17 relays.
- 4 (optional): If NIP-17 relays require AUTH, Coop will show a popup to require the user's action instead of silently processing (current behavior).

If you are on macOS, you can delete everything in the folder /Users/<>/Library/Application Support/Coop

Ah, Coop will **try** to subscribe to a user's DM relay (NIP-17) when it receives the user's relay list (NIP-65). this apply for current user and their contacts. The purpose of this is to ensure the local database contains all necessary data. When a user sends a message, the Nostr SDK won't need to perform **the** fetch DM relay step.

I think the problem is this log:

rust-nostr-sdk is verifying the auth response, it required relay must response with event id like describe in nip-42, but auth.nostr1.com just respond with "", so it cause the error Invalid event ID
this issue happen with me too, but strangely if I use login with nsec, it's working fine 🥲. Anyway I will find a way to fix it.

After one week of replacing my MacBook Pro with a ThinkPad, I've made the right choice and have absolutely no regrets. I've installed both Fedora and Windows 11 LTSC on it. Somehow, Windows provides a worse experience and is less stable than Linux in 2025 - which is amazing! 🤣

Sadly, GPUI doesn’t support android and ios yet. The GPUI team is open to the idea, but it won’t happen anytime soon since they’re still focused on Zed Editor.

Yes, I've a plan for invite feature, user will have a url, share it with their friend via tradition platforms (sms, mail,..), then other user can be onboarding via this url
