I'm starting a new hashtag here. It's #RefrigeratorArt. OK, I can see now it's not new, but I'm going for it! Post your refrigerator art, homemade or not, and re-toot so others share theirs. Share an explanation if you'd like! I want to know why you pick the things you chose to stick to your frig. Here's one to get us started. This one has been literally hanging around our house forever. It makes me laugh.

We had seven unhoused people in today within an hour seeking resources. They needed whatever we could offer; food, gift cards, housing. We can't do it all. The first three shared a phone for their contact number. Two were in their late 60s and due to lose their home tomorrow. The early ones knew the ropes better. The last two were so new that they still believed there were resources out there. They had hope. #publichealth #Dystopia #USA #homelessness #empathy #america #today #inequality

There was actually a discussion about climate change at work today. I'm still shocked. I've been focused on climate for the last 10+ years, and it's been crickets around here. I've been afraid that we would need to get closer and closer to the point of no return before anyone paid attention. I think we're almost there. #climate #climatechange #climatecrisis #lafires

Scent training is great fun for high energy dogs who are stuck inside during bad weather. Train your dog to recognize a scent and then hide a container with the scent in the house and play Find It! Cody loves this game and has gotten so good at it we’re running out of hiding places. And sometimes he peeks when I’m hiding it! #dogtraining #dogs #dogsofmastodon Training makes Cody happy, and using his brain wears him out. Bonus for tired dog parents!

All true! I heard a piece on the US response to COVID about a month ago. The original data was collected by volunteers. Volunteers were reporting to the CDC! Until they got tired of it and said this is your job to do. The former director was interviewed and said years of underfunding public health has had a devastating effect; claimed they are short 50K people to adequately do the work. It’s appalling. #YallMasking I work for a county health department. We actually have #covid in our office. I am the only person consistently masking out of the two of us who are doing it. #publichealth is dying, y’all. Our county commissioners and board of health were taken over by the right a year ago.
