My ThinkPad T15p Gen 1 is about 5 years old, I think. I've used it with Nobara and Gnome OS, maybe another OS before that. Last week I switched to Fedora Silverblue. Since then I regularly, but not always, get a kernel panic on boot. So far I just had to reboot, and it's fine again. Today the kernel panic came after logging in, and it happened several times. I think 3 times on ostree 0 and once on 1. On the second attempt on ostree 1 I got in. But I don't like this!
Thoughts?

Fedora Silverblue. It comes with the noveau driver, which should work with my card, but I think the 580 driver is probably better, and I'm not really sure if I can install it, or if I made a mistake going for the atomic version of Fedora :S The one thing I've tried so far to install it didn't work.

Ah, yes! Haha, I was really stupid and was only thinking of a totally clean/windowless desktop. Good thing you reminded me of this very obvious way an accidental desktop scroll could happen :)
Also, you're right, the same, opposite thing should undo the action, and unfortunately scrolling in Activities does change workspaces, so that would have to change too. But that is a very logical thing, so… Hmm, I guess the people are wise, and I was wrong… :/

I see most people so far don't want this as default. I would appreciate if someone would tell me why.
In my experience all mice has some resistance on the scroll wheel, so it's highly unlikely anyone scrolls by accident. There's nothing that happens on scrolling on the desktop, and nothing to do there.
Today you can three finger scroll if you have a touchpap. But if not you have to use the keyboard or move cursor to upper left corner, then to the bottom middle to open the App list.

There seems to me to be quite a few people who criticize Gnome for making the pointer travel to open the list of installed apps very long. Yet there's a ton of extensions that makes scrolling on the desktop switch workspaces without holding Super, but none(?) that makes scrolling on the desktop open Activities. Seems strange to me. This would solve the pointer travel issue for most mice.

So, transfering my old Signal messages from my old phone to my new with the transfer feature was impossible. So now I try with making a backup on the old phone and importing it on the new instead.

Never had an issue with the flatpak on Gnome OS. Just recently switched over to Fedora Silverblue, not had an issue so far.

I've tried the transfer of messages from my old phone to the new so many times now!
It only started once, on maybe the third attempt. It got to ~2% in like 20 min, and then it stopped with some error message.
Now I've tried again 5+ times, and it won't even start. The "Searching for new Android device" spinner just keeps spinning.
Help?

Why is adding #Signal to a new PC and to a new phone such hugely different experiences?
I can just install the app on a PC, open it, log in, and get all my messages over there in an instance.
On a phone, on the other hand, I have to switch over my account, so it stops working on the first phone, and then have to go trough an extremely slow transfer of my old messages.
I understand most people only have one phone, but the difference seems weird, no? Especially the difference in message sync

Jeg vet ikke hva jeg forventet, men etter å ha installert DDG, så viser det seg altså at alt Vipps skulle gjøre var å åpne BankID-innlogginga. Hva faen? Den funker faktisk i Firefox-baserte nettlesere! Hvorfor gidder de bruke utvikler-ressurser på å helt unødvendig sjekke hvilken nettleser jeg har, istedenfor å bare sende linken til hva enn for en nettleser som er satt som standard!?!?!

Aerion, which says it's inspired by Geary. https://aerion.3df.io

And the first thing I see, after one failed boot attempt, is that it will stop supporting my GPU very soon, which was the whole reason I chose to try this distro again! :(

Every time there's a new version of #CopyQ I update it in hopes that it will have started working again now. And the answer is always no. It starts, but does not pick up anything I copy. It's been like this for a long time, across distros. I suspect it's got something to do with #Wayland? But I see Wayland mentioned in the changelog as if it works? Jeg liker godt at Kallaxene finnes i forskjellige varianter med de samme kvadratiske hyllene. Så jeg skal sette to stykker sammen, var planen.
Men! Ifølge ikeadotno så er 4x4 Kallaxen 147x147 cm, og 2x4 Kallaxen 147x77…
Og det er to problemer her. For det første er ikke 77 halvparten av 147.
For det andre, ifølge min målestokk som jeg bruker på min fysiske 2x4 Kallax som jeg har fysisk stående ved siden av meg her, så er den 149,3 cm!
Det ødelegger jo hele greia! WTF?

Skal snart hente en Kallax 4x4-hylle. Den er svær, og jeg har hverken bil eller lappen. Men de som gir den bort har skrudd den fra hverandre, og jeg har tralle. Og jeg bor i by med relativt mange folk med mye penger, dvs at det stadig er folk som gir bort ting overalt, så om man bare venter litt trenger man ikke frakte ting så langt.
Tralle er framtidas transportmiddel!

I want to say "I see", but actually I really don't understand any of this. Sorry. It would be so great if these things could be done once upstream, and then individual apps could just use the feature from there without having to implement it themselves, but I understand from your comment that that's probably not possible. Is really #Syncthing the easiest way to automatically send your photos from your phone to your #Linux PC? Because it was a real hassle to set up, and now it just stopped working for me a long time ago and it does nothing to help me understand why or how to fix it. The WebUI clearly tells me how much is not synced, so why doesn't it just sync it! All I can do is rescan or pause+unpause, but that doesn't help! There has to be something better than this, right?

For as long as you have to open properties and check a checkbox, and then it doesn't automatically get added to your apps list, then it's not solved, I would say. AppImage is good, but something needs to be done to make them usable by everyone, I think.

Er det noen måte å se utfra denne energimerkingen hvor gammelt apparatet er? Siden energimerkinger justeres hele tiden så burde det vært ekstremt tydelig, så man kan vite om det er dagens A, feks, eller ti år gammel A og dermed dagens D, feks. Men det er jo ikke tydelig.
Det står 2010/1060 nede i hjørnet, betyr det at den er fra 2010?
