Your thesis regarding what CPI is, is wrong. Like the name suggests, the CPI measures price increases (even though manipulated). Thus completely useless data. Price increases are the trickle down, delayed effects of inflation. Inflating the money supply that is. Which, in a debt based system is debt. Total debt, including federal, state and local, business and private debt. Currently $80 trillion in the US. The purchasing power of #Bitcoin imho is currently more of a function of adoption. Unfortunately the exchange rate vs the USD is also heavily manipulated ever since the Government/Wall Street got involved. To guess the number to win a block you need computing power. Centralized miners have a lot of computing power, a big computer in essence. A solo miner is a small computer. A lot of small decentralized computers add up to a lot of computing power to compete with centralized miners to win blocks.

#Bitcoin will not succeed if it doesn’t become a broadly used MoE soon. Because it needs to be highly distributed and not highly concentrated. Being concentrated in ETFs, strategic reserves and corporations allows it to be diluted through futures, derivatives and fractional reserves and hence also lose its SoV by essentially inflating it. Cornering Bitcoin as a SoV is an attack vector.

Humans aren’t well
The vast majority of people are in denial, aggressively fighting the truth. Suffering from mass-psychosis and cognitive dissonance, induced by propaganda and psy ops. Humans easily manipulated through there natural tendencies towards narcissism and hedonism. And for the manipulators? They seem to be wrapped up in satanic rituals and cults (free masons etc). Also a mental disease….humans aren’t well.
I do believe #Bitcoin fixed this, as it aligns incentives towards productive values. Only if you produce value, will you earn #BTC. The consequences for bad behavior are dire. Right now, Bitcoin caters to greed, to convert it to altruism as the purchasing power increases during adoption. After hyperbitcoinization its value for value. An investment is a case where you give your Bitcoin to someone in return for a share of their profit. Let’s say your associate wants to open a bakery and it costs 4 #Bitcoin for the equipment. People are very surprised they don’t get a lot of likes, followers and responses on Nostr. On Twitter it’s all automated and a lot of it is “fake” to stimulate endorphins.

So the real world community, the movement may always be small.
I think it’s similar with Bitcoin, most people live paycheck to paycheck. They don’t care and don’t have time to think.

The supply is fixed forever (denominator). The Bitcoin in circulation changes over time based on many factors. Including Bitcoin HODL’d by people, Bitcoin awarded to miners (think of it has someone is HODL’ing a portion of the 21 million and awarding them every 10 min as you say). Inflation of the money supply is, when you increase the denominator. The whole purpose of sound money is to have a fixed, scarce supply. And we all know, Bitcoin has a fixed supply of 21 million (the variables time and state of Bitcoin are not part of the denominator). It’s in the code. No inflation if you use the definitions of Austrian economics.

You’re confusing concepts. The supply is fixed at 21 million. Denominator. That’s different from circulation, velocity etc. According to your logic, Bitcoin being hodl’d wouldn’t count towards supply. The denominator is always 21 million. How fast Bitcoin moves, how much is in circulation at any time, etc is calculated in the numerator. The power of Bitcoin is that you always know, the value of things is measured by a constant. So all the economic signals are accurately derived from that.

You’re missing one feature, #Nostr and #Bitcoin are a free censorship free market, peer to peer. You can exchange goods and services by communicating with each other worldwide and pay (zap) for them without intermediaries.
That said, most people are sheeple and prefer to be governed, so adoption will be slow and driven by the amount of pain the fiat system imposes on them by deteriorating.

The thing is, the devs won’t do whatever they want, they’ll do what BlackRock wants. There’s no BIP that needs $1T, so it’ll likely be spent on nefarious attacks. Instead of being spent on impartial innovation to make the network stronger. That’s only one of the risks. In the long term it’s like Boeing. If they wouldn’t spend the $Trillions on bailing them out and had a free flow of capital, we’d perhaps all be flying around in individual drones. So in the long term it weakens the network. Luckily, this problem is short term. Bitcoin fixes all this. Because no one will waste billions of Bitcoin on something of no value. Because once it’s gone it’s gone. Can’t print more. In the meantime we should at least call things out that seem fishy.

So it’s not a commodity (since you can’t eat it, like wheat; and it’s not a raw material, like oil or gold). And it is indeed money (UoA, MoE, SoV).
In the past people used commodities also as money or to back money to approximate scarcity. Scarcity is the key. So gold, for example was both, a commodity and money. Interestingly valued differently for each function.
For the first time in human history, Satoshi-san invented pure money with absolute scarcity. Nothing else exists that cannot be corrupted, like #Bitcoin.
There are a lot of confusing forces at play. Like shitcoins pretending to „improve“ on Bitcoin in some way, but compromising one of the key attributes of Bitcoin like decentralization or PoW and hence enabling corruption for private gain. Or governments and corporations changing the meaning of words like cryptocurrency, stablecoins and yes, money vs commodities, to attack and control Bitcoin or move it into another realm.
The other big confusing factor is that during the adoption toward hyperbitcoinization, the purchasing power of your money, Bitcoin, actually increases. Which makes Bitcoin behave like an investment not a savings (SoV). The price of goods and services decreases far beyond the natural decrease in prices due to increased productivity and innovation. So you have a lot of fiat behavior going on, like trading, etf‘s, options etc.
Once Bitcoin adoption reaches critical mass, it’s simply money. Goods and Services will be priced and exchanged for Bitcoin. You can’t invest in money, because how would that work? I earned one Bitcoin, and invest one Bitcoin, so I still just have one Bitcoin. And, because Bitcoin is THE money, not a commodity, you don’t trade it for another money.
The beauty of scarce money is, society will be able to harvest the benefits of innovation and technology. Abundance. Existing things will get cheaper. People will have time to focus on new inventions (at premium prices), art, architecture and beauty. It’ll be a beautiful new world, not a brave new world.
During adoption to hyperbitcoinization Bitcoin will turn greed in altruism. Due to scarcity, Bitcoin will flow to value. So even when bad guys start with more Bitcoin, unless they become productive stewards of our earth, they’ll spend more than they make.
So it’ll all work out. Fix the money, fix the world.

Answer me these two questions. Can you eat Bitcoin? Or use it as raw material? Changing the meaning of words, in this case confusing money and commodities, is ultimately intended to dollarize #Bitcoin. To keep it in a box while maintaining the fiat system. To trade #Bitcoin. To create derivatives and options markets, etf’s. But ultimately to use dollars. If you consider #Bitcoin to be money, then none of that makes sense. You can’t invest money in money. Right, he changed the meaning of the word commodity, conflated it with the meaning of the word money, and hence moved #Bitcoin into another realm. He also said Bitcoin and the USD will coexist. Dangerous. He also said, at #Bitcoin Atlantis, that the Banks and Corporations need Bitcoin, true. That that helps Bitcoin, true. And then concluded that we should embrace them-lol. I don’t think so. Finally, he used other people’s money to get rich with Bitcoin. While you can argue about the virtues of using the fiat system to get rich, he surely isn’t pure. Again, be careful.

#Bitcoin is actually money. A commodity is a raw material, or something you can eat. Before #Bitcoin, commodities were used as money, or to back money, to achieve scarcity. Calling Bitcoin a commodity is intended to regulate it. To tax it, track and trace it etc. A trap. And ignores #Bitcoin‘s UoA (the recording) and MoE (currency) features. The P2P system that would make us free. It will not increase in purchasing power after hyperbitcoinization…in that it will be 1:1 value to value. True price discovery. Yes, innovation and productivity increases will make existing products and services more affordable, capital allocation decisions will flow towards those things that improve value to society (companies like Boeing or Tesla wouldn’t survive and we’d probably all fly on individual drones already if the trillions would have flown to value rather than bailing out Boeing with 1940s tech). And yes, we would then live in abundance, focus our energy on art, beautifully architecture, inventing things etc. But it’s not investing in Bitcoin. You would invest your Bitcoin in a building things. Or earn Bitcoin. Or Save it for later.

I wouldn’t worry too much about it. #Bitcoin naturally turns greed into altruism. Even for those that start with a higher stack during the transition to hyperbitcoinization will need to contribute value, or they’ll just spend their stack. Bitcoin will always flow to value due to scarcity. And re the forking? If they try to mess with the code, me and the maxis will continue with the OG version. It will always have the highest value, because it’s pure.
