As I said in Once Bitten 562, Bentov's work is important...so important he was probably unalived by shadowy powers that be in this world.
I quote Bentov's kundalini model in my book's manuscript-in-progress. I hope that when my book gets published, it pushes humanity away from religiously motivated violence. It's a lofty goal, but in order for a goal to be scored, someone has to shoot a shot. I think a perspective that sees the good in each religious tradition while also remaining grounded in science could do just that, even if it doesn't happen within my own lifetime.
Society grows great when old people plant trees underneath whose shade they shall never sit.

Glad you found it valuable. I certainly did. I still need to read "A Brief Tour of Higher Consciousness". I'm sure it's phenomenal. Please let me know how you like it.
Bentov also wrote an appendix for Dr. Lee Sannella M.D.'s book "Kundalini: Psychosis or Transcendence". Much like Bentov's "Stalking the Wild Pendulum", it is worth acquiring just to read Bentov's appendix contribution, but the whole book is worth a read too.
Likewise, the now declassified Gateway Experience documents cite Bentov more often than they cite Robert Monroe which, given the subject covered and given the status of the Monroe Institute as the premiere center for the study of this subject, is significant.
I started my ongoing research bender looking into the meaning of the name I was given by a 90+ year old Native American Medicine Man in an unsought, remote encounter. From there, my research shifted to understanding what kundalini awakenings were. This is what led me to Bentov & Sannella. Kundalini has been a core subject of focus for me for the last 38 months. I've taken a few slight detours chasing other topics but they all connect in some way.
This research has allowed me to penetrate numerous occult blinds and, in doing so, establish a lengthy apologia for perennialism. In that research, I've found the legitimate science and origin of the baptism ritual, the teleology of the ergot laced kukeon consumed at Eleusis, and more.
This has been the single most fascinating thread I've ever unraveled in my life.

Alan Turing is no exception.
I can choose to emulate some aspects of his manner of being while avoiding others.
As an example, I'm not gay, but he was, so I won't be emulating that aspect of his personality.
I wouldn't go to war, but I would kill a rabid dog if it was attacking an innocent toddler.

Last night, I was working my way through some of Fulcanelli's book "Dwellings of the Philosophers". He spends probably 1/4 of the book covering the symbolism contained in the decorations of the Castle of Dampierre. One of the decorations was about the person from Greek mythology known as Narcissus.
While reading through that section, I learned that Narcissus, in Greek letters, is Νάρκισσος which relates to the Greek root word Νάρκη (Narke), also spelled Νάρκα (Narka) which means numbness or torpor. Fulcanelli related this to latency, sleepiness, hibernating animals, and patients under the influence of NARCotics.
I also noticed that Narka is extremely similar to Naka which is basically the same thing as Naga. Naga, in Sanskrit, means snake/serpent, most likely a reference to the kundalini serpent.
Fulcanelli also points out that the Narcissus plant has white or yellow flowers.
This got me thinking about what else I knew about the Narcissus story, namely that he was egotistical.
In 15.12 of the Law of One, the questioner asked "How does an individual go about balancing himself? What is the first step?"
Paring down Ra's response to the relevant part, Ra said "The third blockage resembles most closely that which you have called ego. It is the yellow-ray or solar plexus center."
The energy centers, a.k.a. chakras, are radiative which is why things like wheels and lotus flowers have been used as tangible analogs to describe them, and the solarplexus energy center is associated with the color yellow, just like the Narcissus flower. I don't think this is a coincidence.
In order for the dormant, numb, torpid, latent, hibernating kundalini serpent to awaken and activate higher energy centers, not only must spiritual accomplishments/lessons be learned and embodied, i.e. unconditional love, honesty/truth/knowledge, and surrender, the lower three energy centers must be balanced. Imbalance can be a lack of energy or an overabundance of energy.
The egotistical Narcissus had an overabundance of energy in his solarplexus chakra and, as such, his kundalini serpent remained dormant, asleep, numb. That's likely the moral of the story and the reason a yellow flower is named after him.

Given the presence of stones and 4 elements and a supposedly perfect being, it seems they were dancing around the notion from Hermetic Alchemy that the Philosopher's Stone is made from the four elements united in a state of natural and perfect balance.
Like Star Wars, The Matrix, Cinderella, The Greatest American Hero, Green Lantern, Guardians of the Galaxy, and other Hollywood productions, The Fifth Element is spiritual allegory that flies over the heads of most people.
As Evey Hammond's father is said to have said in V for Vendetta, "Artists use lies to tell the truth."

Maybe not in this lifetime, but at some point, that is a necessary task of integration and everyone on the positive/good/service to others path will learn that lesson.
As a child, most of us acted out of line at some point or another and our parents punished us in some way to teach us a greater lesson. In hindsight, with more experience and maturity, you can look back and see that your villainization of your parents for punishing you was myopic and ego based. The same is true with this subject.
Polarizing 99% towards love and 1% towards hate, you're still leaving room for hate in your heart and mind. I don't want to harbor that, but you feel free to weigh yourself down like that if you think it helps you in any way whatsoever.

Sigmas have determined for themselves that the pack hierarchy games (fiat) aren't worth playing and have chosen to roll solo (be sovereign).
Many were sigmas before we became hodlers, however hodling also seems to transmute and forge other personality types into sigmas.
As hodlers endure the slings and arrows of nocoiner normies, especially through bear markets, we care less and less about their uninformed opinions of Bitcoin.

I think I've fielded this kind of question before and when I looked into it, Clubhouse was available for Android too.
As another option, Clubdeck is basically the PC version of Clubhouse. I think you have to have Clubhouse set up though in order to use Clubdeck but I may be mistaken.

I once worked at a learning center. I'd only been working there for no more than a month or two when I attended my first "new parent orientation seminar".
The "math lead" who had been working at that learning center prior to my arrival there was a very bright high school student who was about to go off to college.
In that seminar, the director of the learning center told the group of parents that she loved that math lead who was heading off to college and that she loved me too.
This kind of blew my mind because I'd only known her for no more than a month or two, as I said above. My concept of love was different from hers and that was something I needed to wrestle with.
Now I see the service of holding a door open for someone as an act of love. I see the choice to take the earbuds out of my ears when I'm checking out at the grocery store so I can converse with the cashier and make the cashier feel seen and heard to be an act of love.
There is always love to be found in each moment and we can always find a reason to express love for each person. It might be the only reason we can think of to express love for that person, but at least it's non-zero.
I don't consider it to be a loving act or a loving disposition to ignore or dismiss someone when they wish to share something they've found to be significant with me. Likewise, I don't consider it to be intelligent to dismiss someone at the first sign of disagreement. If I acted in that way, I wouldn't have learned about the subject of jinn/djinn when discussing reincarnation with devout Muslim Bitcoiner Ray Youssef on X a few years ago. I'd never heard of jinn/djinn before that conversation. That conversation would not have taken place if I had not asked Ray how he explains the evidence collected by people like Dr. Ian Stevenson MD, Dr. Jim Tucker MD, Dolores Cannon, etc. I knew, going into that discussion, that Ray and I didn't see eye to eye on the big picture, but that didn't stop me from probing his perspective to see what interesting insights might emerge.
That's emptying your cup. That's choosing the road less travelled. That's taking the saddle bags off of your camel so you can enter the narrow passage known as the eye of the needle. If you're unwilling to take the saddle bags off, the camel isn't fitting inside. If you are willing to take the saddle bags off, they're probably going to get stolen so, to enter the city and see what it has to offer, you must pay a cost and eat a loss. Eating that loss doesn't mean you will get no gains though, and you'll never know what kind of gains you could have gained if you don't shoot your shot. As Gretzky said, you miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

The problem of evil is something that humans have wrestled with for a long time.
The key is to take a lesson from alchemy, which is something that Bitcoiners are already adept.
Take, for example, the Skull of Satoshi, or Samantha LaDuc's "Rogue Money" moniker. Those were both meant to injure or derogate Bitcoin but we flipped the script and alchemized these attacks into momentum for our cause by adopting them.
This is not to suggest that we should adopt evil.
Instead, consider that, in Mandarin, the word for "problem" is the same word for "opportunity" and that the existence of evil people and evil actions presents opportunities for us to polarize more towards service to others (good) by serving those who have been afflicted by those of the extreme service to self (evil) polarity.
Everyone, regardless of polarity, offers us a mirror to use for personal growth.
As we look at person X, we can consider emulation of aspects of that personality, of that manner of being, and choose to adopt or reject those aspects of that manner of being.
We can choose just like it's a buffet.
The evil, shadowy string pullers of this world offer us the same sorts of opportunities.
We can observe their manner of being, choose to reject most of, if not all aspects of their manner of being, and then love them for having offered us the opportunity to observe and assess for fitment the adoption or exclusion of their manner of being with our own manner of being.
This is a reason to love every single person.
This doesn't mean you have to be a doormat.
This doesn't mean you have to be a pushover.
Power is a Divine trait.
Embody power, but balance it with Mercy, another Divine trait.

I would encourage you to keep looking, even when you've found a single instance of disagreement. You never know what you may find. This is the lesson of Christ's camel and the eye of the needle teaching. This is the lesson of the empty cup Zen koan.

I'm very familiar with the Law of One framework but not at all familiar with the Wagner Sahel playbook. I think you've found an interesting parallel that is captured by the aphorism "there's nothing new under the sun".
The Mercenary Dependency Spiral offered in the link provided does remind me of cyclical patterns that play out in human affairs. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Pournelle's Ironclad Law of Bureaucracy seems somewhat relevant here too.
The Law of One offers information that is indeed consistent in major ways with every major faith tradition. Studying this material alongside lots of other stuff (Itzhak Bentov, Dr. Lee Sannella, Dr. Joe Dispenza, Gopi Krishna, the Bible, Dolores Cannon, Nicholas Notovitch, Swami Abhedananda, George Jowett, Dr. Ian Stevenson, Robert Monroe, James Churchward, Graham Hancock, Brian Muraresku, etc.) has allowed me to find common ground between various faith traditions and distill the common teachings that are core to them all.
My goal is to demonstrate to the world that each faith tradition is pointing at the same truths in an effort to dissolve the imaginary lines that divide humanity from itself, thus rugpulling incentives for religiously motivated violence.
Without the Law of One, I don't think I would have discovered how sarcophagi were used in ancient Egypt or how that ties in to kundalini, enlightenment, the fiery baptism of the Holy Spirit, djinn, dragons, depictions of the sacred heart of Christ aflame, etc.. Bentov, Dispenza, Churchward, Muraresku, Cannon, and Stevenson's work were also important to figuring that out. Each contributed key pieces of the puzzle.
I don't see a path to world peace through any other ideology than perennialism/omnism/syncretism. All traditions contain both baby and bathwater but dogmatic adherents to individual faith traditions tend to be unwilling to compromise any tenets of the tradition to which they are attached. Quoting my favorite band, Wookiefoot, "You see love in all, or you don't see love at all."

There's a reason to love every single person on this planet.
Everyone is suffering through this life and that's a cost they're paying.
The benefit I reap from each person's life is that each person serves me as a mirror I can use to consider whether or not I want to emulate their manner of being in any way whatsoever.
Both men have a non-zero amount of laudable characteristics worthy of emulation.
As a former neighbor once said "I've never learned anything from someone with whom I completely agreed" so it's good to explore the thoughts of those with whom you don't see eye to eye. I doubt there's a single person on this planet that completely agrees with any other person.
My personal goal is to help end war by demonstrating that every religious tradition consists of both baby and bathwater. They all have common ground. They're all pointing, in their own ways, at the same cosmic and spiritual truths but people are often dogmatically attached to the entire belief set which creates the motivations for religious violence.
Showing people from each faith tradition that I am familiar with their spiritual lingo is not only proof of work, it is how bridges are built. It's how the era of the Tower of Babel comes to an end.

It's good to listen to debates between people of above average intelligence.
I get to hear both sides make their case and learn things.
It's been a while since I listened to anything of his.
Probably the last time I heard him speak was at Bitcoin 2022 in Miami with Tuur Demeester on stage.
I appreciated some of his and Michaela's podcast content like the Wim Hof interview and some of the others. Once they interviewed a dude who got imprisoned and tortured for like 15 years or something at Guantanamo. That was a compelling interview.
I don't agree with his religious views but I respect his intellectual curiosity and his interview skills.
I also find him to be extremely articulate which I respect.
Kamala Harris is a word salad machine. Peterson is nowhere near that.

Divisive dogmatism is directly antithetical to the Golden Rule.
Christ travelled and learned from many traditions. That's "the Way".
Those who study multiple traditions see the connections.
Those who don't, don't.
Examples:
You can't explain Matthew 10:16, Genesis 1-3, and numerous other passages without some truly asinine mental gymnastics. I require no mental gymnastics to explain these things. Furthermore, this perspective is consistent with modern science.
Persistence in prejudicial ignorance is anyone's mistake to make, so continue to make that mistake if you must.
I hope that some day you drop your ego, humble yourself, and follow the Way of Christ by actually loving your neighbors as yourself and seeking common ground rather than using religion as a cudgel to placate your ego and justify engaging in the sunk cost logical fallacy.
You see love in all or you don't see love at all.

We say "Bitcoin makes war unaffordable" but this ignores edge cases of religious extremists whose values hierarchies are skewed by dogmatism, prejudice, fear, & ego.
Bitcoin will do a lot towards this goal.
What else is needed to get humanity to the finish line of peace?
To rugpull religiously motivated violence will require more than changing the alignment of economic incentives.
To quote The Dirty Heads, "The grass is always greener, I said 'Fuck it. Burn the picket fence.'"

We must remove division and demonstrate unity between traditions.
Most people only ever study one religious tradition.
If they're a convert, maybe they've studied two.
That's not enough. We must study them all.
This doesn't mean we must accept every tenet of every tradition but we must explore them all looking for common ground.

Many are afraid to even listen to the testimony of others.

My books are physical, not digital, and when I read them, I underline and bookmark them. That’s proof of work.

Yes, but I didn’t teach at a “school” per se. I taught at a learning center where parents chose to send their kids for supplemental enrichment above and beyond what the child’s regular school could offer.
I was the math and critical thinking lead which meant I did what I’m saying schools don’t do. I taught my students how to think.

Yeah, fair points. Grouping kids by date of manufacture is like putting cars on a racetrack based on date of manufacture. If you put a Lambo on the same track as a Geo Metro, their respective top speeds will be incompatible and create issues.
No man is an island in the specialization economy so we must be capable of socializing with one another in order to engage in trade to satisfy the demands of our biological vulnerabilities.
I’m reminded of Jiddu Krishnamurthy’s quote: “It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society.” Having said that, it is useful, at the very least, to experience other people in society in order to gain a sense of just how profoundly sick society is.

I think the socialization concern arises from the discrepancy between the number of kids and teachers with whom a student interacts daily at a non-home school compared to the number of kids and teachers with whom a student interacts daily at a home school. The perception is that at a typical school, a child will have 20 or 30 classmates plus multiple teachers with whom they interact whereas in a home school environment, the perception is that the parents and siblings are the only ones with whom they interact.
I think this socialization concern has propagated throughout society so, at this point, most, if not all home school parents are aware of the concern and take steps to mitigate it. I agree that local home school coops are a good way to increase socialization. Planning lots of educational field trips also mitigates the socialization concern. Enrolling children in sports, music, martial arts, scouts, etc. is another way to mitigate the socialization concern.
I like the task accomplishment orientation. This framing agrees with how I already viewed knowledge. Each piece of knowledge is a tool in my tool set. One may buy a set of wrenches or screwdrivers or sockets or something, not knowing exactly when one will need any particular component from the set but we acquired them anyways under the assumption that some day, some task will require this tool. As an example, I remember doing a social studies project in like 5th grade or something where I had to do a report on one of the 50 United States. At this point, I don't even remember what state I was assigned so the knowledge contained in my report didn't stick but I did learn how to research and write up my research findings which is contributing to my current efforts to write a book.

Agreed. Academia is a mixed bag. There's plenty of both baby and bathwater but it has become bloated and top heavy because academics are afraid to push any disagreement with the consensus opinions for fear of being blackballed and losing their income stream. As long as academics are fearful, they will tiptoe through the tulips trying not to rock the boat. Meanwhile, progress is arrested or, at the very least, slowed.
We need something like @npub10pe…n34f but fully crowdsourced for people doing paradigm shifting research that moves humanity forward who can also teach classes online.
We could have de facto professors host live class sessions with class-by-class tuition paid for in sats by students. This would offer homeschoolers a Bitcoin-friendly education option to go along with any other educational initiatives they're already pursuing.
Bitcoiners tend to have low time preferences and see value where the masses do not. I have to imagine that at least a few whales out there would be willing to help bootstrap a decentralized education initiative like this, especially if Bitcoin related education is a part of it.
In addition to the standard education subjects (math, sciences, reading/writing, history, languages, etc.) we could have NOSTR education, Linux & Unix education, homesteading/permaculture education, etc. I'm certain we could find professors for each of those subjects.
I'd like to see @npub1qfc…xnrh teaching a foreign language, philosophy, and entrepreneurial skills.
I'd like to see @npub139s…w6n6 teaching art, languages, homesteading, and heart math.
I'd like to see @npub1v9r…v7wz teaching HVAC, foraging, cannabis cultivation, and general handyman skills.

We definitely have a full stable of horses if we can get organized and funded.

This is how one translates the "language of the birds", by looking for phonetic assonance and connected meaning.
Mainstream philologists and etymologists are, in most instances, esoterically uninformed so they wouldn't understand these deep, profound, linguistic connections.
Ascended Masters activated their dormant chakras including the throat.
The throat chakra corresponds with "Da'ath" on Kabbalah's Tree of Life.
Da'ath means "knowledge".
Da'ath is Gnosis.
If, after death, the enlightened are called "Ascended Masters" then, before death, the enlightened would just be "Masters", as the ascension occurs after physical death.
If curiosity leads to acquisition of knowledge, calling a curious person a "Master" makes sense.
Divine, diva, diya, and other similar words all have to do with light or sources of light. Enlightenment is having all chakras activated so, again, calling a curious person "Lord" also makes sense given the Gnosis connection.

Yes. That's where I got the connection between theta neural oscillations and spiritual awakenings. He has a whole physio-kundalini model in that appendix and it's the kind of thing Tesla would approve of given the whole energy, frequency, and vibration thing.
Dr. Joe Dispenza's work also validates the link between theta neural oscillations and spiritual awakenings.

Looks like Clubhouse works for both iOS and Android. Clubdeck works for PC.
Ultimately I'd like to switch to HiveTalk but I need to build my website and set up a Flight Club Study Group podcast before I abandon Clubhouse/Clubdeck. I want the recordings to be publicly available for on demand listening. As far as I know, Hivetalk doesn't offer recording/replay functionality so I would want to have the website and podcast set up and convert all of my recorded study group sessions into podcast releases before I move away from Clubhouse/Clubdeck to HiveTalk.

I’m pretty sure I found the origin of the baptism initiation sacrament. Also, I’m pretty sure I can offer Brian Muraresku the teleology he lacks in The Immortality Key with respect to the psychedelics consumed at the Eleusinian mysteries as well as the spiritual significance of caves, hypogeums, the Osiris shaft, etc.
I presented elevator pitches of some of these ideas on DemystifySci’s secondary show: Paradigm Drift. The hosts are some serious gigabrains and my presentations were well received by them. They are much better scientists than me so if they didn’t call me out with any red flags, there’s a non-zero chance I am actually on to something here.
As for a book, yes, there is a book in progress. The subtitle of the book comes from Fulcanelli. It will be called “What’s in a Name?: The Language of the Birds”. The term I wrote about above, i.e. “argot”, is synonymous with “the language of the birds”. For the last 3 years, unknowingly, I have been translating the language of the birds…breaking the occult code.
Bitcoin definitely gets a mention. I wouldn’t be on this research bender if I hadn’t been given my name by a now deceased Native American Medicine Man who, at the time, was 90+ years old. I wouldn’t have had that remote encounter with Medicine Man if I hadn’t been orange pilling a libertarian discord server. A member of that server is Native American and after a year or so of shared experiences there, she offered to set up the remote encounter.
That experience changed my life. If my research is indeed accurate and based, that experience may change the world for the better by promoting understanding between people from different groups who might otherwise bicker and engage in violence against one another.

Yeah, modern architecture can be pretty sweet and we can engineer some pretty amazing structures but even the cool stuff we make seems to pale in comparison to the highest architectural achievements of the past.
Our modern buildings are often devoid of bas reliefs and sculpture and gargoyles and flying buttresses, etc.
Something Fulcanelli doesn't mention, as far as I'm aware, is that the French slang for Gothic art like what we would see decorating the old Gothic Cathedrals, is phonetically assonant with the word "architect". In French, Gothic art is "art Gotique" and the slang version is "argotique". Say argotique and architect a few times back to back and the assonance is fairly obvious.
Interestingly, Fulcanelli does point out that "argotique" is related to "argot" and Jason and the Argonauts. His study of Gothic art at Gothic Cathedrals demonstrates how esoterically informed the builders of these buildings were.
Something else he doesn't point out is that, even more closely related than argotique and architect are the words argot and the psychedelic fungus from which LSD is derived: ergot. Ergot is what the Eleusinian mystery initiates were consuming in the kukeon mint beer concoction that, as far as my research suggests, allowed the initiates to see the aura, the chakras, and the kundalini serpent which they would have understood as the serpent wrapped around the Orphic egg.
This rant is why I struggle sometimes to speak about my research extemporaneously. So many dots connect. This is why I had to start writing it all down to organize it all in a way that allows me to present things in a logical, lucid, cohesive way instead of coming off as unhinged and insane.

Fulcanelli agreed on page 1 of "Dwellings of the Philosophers". He wrote:

Their interpreters --- those marvelous and modest carvers of images --- do not deceive us and could
not be mistaken. They choose their prototypes from daily life among people who move around them and in the midst of whom they themselves live. A number of these figures randomly found in narrow streets, taverns, schools, sacristics, workshops, may be altogether marked or overdone, but in a picturesque tone, with a concern for character, for the sense of joy, for generous lines. Grotesque, you may say, but joyously grotesque and full of teaching. Satires of people enjoying laughter. Drinking, singing, and fond of good living. My research is deeply in alignment with what Brandon said in this clip. I can hear Brandon's familiarity with Brian Muraresku's book "The Immortality Key" in this clip as well as some of John Allegro's "The Sacred Mushroom and the Cross" along with other similar books like Andrija Puharich's "The Sacred Mushroom". As far as the "Wake Up" theme is concerned, the subject of spiritual awakenings has been the primary, central subject of my research for the last 3 years.
I got a TON of useful information from Muraresku. My research contains the teleology that his lacks. I understand, at least in significant part, what they were doing at Eleusis. I understand why the teacher of the Eleusinian mysteries was called the Hierophant. I understand what psychedelic effects were achieved by the kukeon and how those effects are pertinent to spirituality. Among other things, it actually explains why halos are a thing in religious depictions. I understand why people meditated in caves. I understand why Pythagoras had a personal hypogeum. I understand why the Osiris shaft is a thing. They're all enhanced grounding techniques. Grounding is the rhythm entrainment of body, mind, and spirit to the Schumann resonance which is a high theta frequency. Theta neural oscillations are extremely important.
