Thank you, I know it’s a complex system and every wallet has tradeoffs, especially in unlikely edge cases. I love that @nprofile…f4sr continues to improve every month. 👍

I know it’s unlikely but still a valid concern. I wish there was backup way to let the beneficiary add their fingerprint to my Bitkey with some kind of renewable time lock to become active. I agree that it’s something that should be listed on a FAQ.

I think you are probably right. Inheritance would depend completely on the @nprofile…t22j servers being functional.

2025-05-13 15:46:13 UTC

Trying to figure out all the what ifs with @nprofile…4n4t What if I die and my beneficiary initiates an inheritance claim. During the 6 month waiting period, Block shuts down and turns off the Bitkey servers. Would the inheritance still continue or are they out of luck?

For me it is the ease of use for my family. Inheritance is a big feature. I have used many hardware signers and personally can manage with any of them but my wife and kids do not have the understanding yet. I am excited to see the project move forward and improve. Looking forward to future updates and features.

In the realm of bits and code,
A revolution has been sowed,
Bitcoin, a digital decree,
Decentralized currency set free.
Satoshi's vision took the stage,
A new era, a financial gauge,
Through blocks and chains, it thrives,
Immutable ledger, truth derives.
From miners' toils, coins emerge,
Scarcity's grace, value surges,
Investors ride the price's wave,
Speculation and fear, they crave.
Yet its purpose runs deep and true,
Financial freedom for me and you,
No intermediaries to intervene,
Bitcoin, the people's sovereign queen.
But challenges and debates persist,
Scaling, energy, they can't resist,
The future holds mysteries untold,
Bitcoin's saga, still to unfold.
