Doesn't need to be 50k to prevent spam even 5k sats would probably be enough, a spammer could spend 50k or even more to spam in a single relay, but then all the bots would be banned after a short time and he would have to spend again. I would see a zap to reply as a way to prevent troll comments and I think it would be a cool feat, as long as we have options we will use them the best way.

Overkill imo. Could be a new feat, similar to "only the ones who I follow can reply" it would be nice to have but for spam like replyguy it would be tideous to zap every note. Paid or whitelisting relays are the solution imo, pay once and that's it, minimal to no spam in the relay.

People should start worrying more about LN nodes/LSPs censorship resistance and less about Nostr, Nostr will be fine, LN on the other hand, if a node like ACINQ get captured we will be in trouble.

Agree with this, but like you said, it's a relay with an exposed connection on an PC, not on the phone, on the phone it for other use cases imo. Nostr allows many different configurations, that's why it will be fine even if big relays go out.

Don't think nostr relays need to be in the phone, I think it's just as a bad idea as a LN node in the phone, but big Nostr relays will sooner or later end, and it's ok and good for Nostr and Nostr will be fine, what we will need to worry about is regimes scrapping nostr relays seeing some notes they don't like and matching the npub with your identity.

Single pay access is not enough imo, bitcoin spam preventions is transaction fees, not only that but very important is that it's exponential, not linear or fixed value, relays could request a payment to whitelist and then if you start spamming demand another payment and that would increase if you continue. Maybe the other way around could also work, you would start paying a monthly fee and if you behaved nicely over some tine you would start paying less monthly.

Don't give people the wrong impression and a false sense of privacy and security by telling them that they can effectively delete notes on Nostr, they can be able to remove notes from most popular relays and think it's deleted when in fact it can be on dozens of other relays. The opposite is also true, , relay operators can do whatever they want, if they want to nuke your notes after 24h they can, they don't have to retain your data forever.

You can add more relays and you can rebroadcast any notes yourself to any number of relays, bitcoin full nodes keep all txs history, nostr relays not necessarily, but the concept is similar, a relay can go out, damus already nuked everything once, but your notes remain in other relays. So to the question you asked, it's diferent bc no single entity can erase or own your data, you have freedom to spread and broadcast as you wish. Another question one can ask is, what nostr data do you want to keep forever, is it worthy to keep social media notes forever? In my personal opinion no, some other stuff yes probably.

You can ask the same question about Bitcoin, Bitcoin is also in someone else's computers. Nostr servers do not belong to a single entity, no single entity controls the protocol or the data, it's transparent and you can see what's in nostr relays and only you control your keys.

Yeah i imagine Amethyst drafts can be a problem, many drafts and people won't bother requesting deletion or don't even know, it's a manual task for each draft and deletion might not reach all relays. Don't think drafts are a good idea tbh.

Increase in supply is an hard fork, a change in the rules that is not compatible with the current ones, so when you hard fork you are basically creating a new coin with new rules and you need almost everyone to accept that this new coin is still the real one, a majority of miners would have to agree, and most nodes would have to agree also.

In Eu none of those exist, in my country there is an instant transfer app that many ppl use, they charge a few cents for each tx. Bitcoin was not built to replace this systems, people will only start using Bitcoin if they already hodl so they are bitcoiners already, or some of these apps start integrating LN, Strike now is available in EU but not many people know about it.

1-self-custodial LN UX is shit. It's becoming a lot better but still shit.
2-custodial LN UX is great and it's ok to use custodial LN for the majority of people, the important thing is to have optionality and self custody tools to be available to those who have no option but to self-custody.

I would say same as you visiting a website. If you visit a website they can see your IP, relays can also see it, so either use relays you can trust not to track your IP or use VPN or Tor. Then there is metadata like nostr DMs, some metadata might be visible depending on the client. So generally speaking you can use a VPN or Tor if your IP is a worry, for DMs if privacy is very important you should choose a good nostr chat client or don't use at all.

That's nominal, inflation alone gives the gov more revenue with wage increases and income tax that you can't avoid, but going back to your original post, people voting for taxing bitcoin bros can't be enforced like income tax, bitcoin is already taxed in capital gains, wich i don't pay obv, and this kind of taxes can't be enforced on bitcoin. In a full bitcoin economy, wich probably won't happen in my lifetime, will work similar as today's fist, some taxes you can avoid others don't, auto shops are a good example where you don't pay taxes here if you don't want to.

True, that all of those add friction like I said, but all of them are compatible through LN, the layer swap is onchain to LN and there are many compatible tools for it, many LN wallets support onchain and LN, so you only need one wallet. With monero in theory, you would save in BTC, have some monero stack to spend or move to btc to save, and to spend, if people don't accept monero, you have to still swap for btc before spending.

Because in practice currencies compete, and because people usually don't want to jump through layers with money, it introduces friction, if you save in BTC and i save in BTC, why would i want you to pay me in another coin like monero? It's a lot easier for everyone to use the same base currency.
