A single reader is definitely worth a celebration. I write for myself and because I enjoy it but I also want to share my stories with others. More readers would call for a bigger celebration though.

I've tried but I really struggle with it. Some of it is the writing and some of it is the story construction. But you're right that it's probably a good exercise to help me be more concise

#WritersCoffeeClub Sept 16. What was the hardest writerly lesson for you to learn? Or unlearn?
To write concisely and clearly. It sounds so simple but I kept mucking it up with too many words. I think I'm getting better, especially in the editing process, but even now I still find convoluted sentences and paragraphs.

There are the writing and book-related ones like # wordweavers # pennedpossibilites # Bookstodon # AmWriting ...etc.
But I also love # bloomscrollling and # mosstodon and # boardgames and # wildlife. They don't always inspire me but they often do.
