Great show this morning on Velshi, MSNBC about the US dollar as it sinks as a result of Trump destroying the integrity of our institutions, trying to prop up his damage by lowering interest rates, which will ignite inflation, and likely result in the rejection of the US$ around the world coming back to bite us on the ass. My take: as long as the Psycho is enabled, expect the US economy to sync to historic lows with blows.

And this illustrates the fundamental problem with the support The Head Felon gets from all the little wannabe felons who appear to be too stupid to realize they’re advocating lawlessness, except maybe it’s OK if they somehow think they benefit from it. My perspective is the majority is rebelling, but not fast enough. We’re not geared for this level of crazy not willing to uproot normalcy to fight this, but that’s exactly what we need to do.

That’s just one part. Electing fascism, by virtue of protesting the lack of liberal humanitarian policies has placed us directly in the path of possibly not seeing another fair election, idiotic.
It was a simple binary choice, and some of the people who were mad about Gaza said fuck us. Some Latinos who have benefited the most from liberal policies decided to pull up the welcome mat. And some black men who reportedly have a problem with a woman POTUS? Damn.😐

We had a revolution here, a new start. How did we choose to move forward? Not via anarchy. This is our history and the history of the world.
Look, I’m not bad mouthing anarchy, I’m saying not enough people historically or now have chosen to make it happen. You can talk about anarchy as this wonderful ideal, but because of human nature, that’s all it is, at least so far.

Don’t confuse this as blind support of the State. Just a discussion. In the US, a historically recent example, colonies, territories voted to become states, democracy. Can anarchists live in a democratic system? Maybe not if majority vote for authority based on a majority. Anarchy to me seems to be a perishable proposition.

2/2 We started as anarchists, but human beings overwhelmingly chose the State. With a breakdown, we’d revert to anarchy for a while, but would we stick with it? The pressure against anarchy is security, power, and democracy which humans are drawn to. And history has shown that most of us chose the State. But not implying this is best for us. Maybe we need to change for anarchy to prevail.

1/2 I live near probably the most polluted city in the US, local pressure makes a difference, but arguably not enough. Politicians are elected based on these kind of issues. Just as with global warming, it’s our economies that prevent doing what should be. I can’t say anarchy could/would fix this. The obvious challenge is the change to anarchy which would only happen as the result of wholesale breakdown. Then the chance might arise.

I’m not an economist, but my impression is the Capitalism mechanism could still be there, but its worst aspects would/could be controlled via taxation.
Post WWII, the top tax rate was 90 something %.
However by no means am I selling Capitalism, just speculating on how we could transform our current system and avoid an economic breakdown. But a breakdown might be required to provide adequate incentive. 🤔

Capitalism can only work if it’s severely regulated/ restrained, if the capital that is accumulated is capped for individual possession and it is not allowed to undermine the populace and environment. Easy example, millions of manufacturing jobs exported to Asia to low wage, high pollution countries for profit. The required caveat is the system is not corrupt, which undermines any economic/political system chosen.
