I have a question I haven't been able to find a clear answer to. Most of the guides I've seen about obtaining Anon Sats recommended (strongly) running them through a coinjoin. This makes sense, as it reinforces what could be poor fungibility based on the sender's history. I've also seen (strong) recommendations for executing the same process when moving off exchange. Given the premium involved in the former (particularly regarding ATMs), isn't the latter nothing more than a more efficient (cost-wise) method of obtaining the same outcome? It seems that CoinJoins are really the linchpin in maintaining fungibility rather than the source of the acquisition. Please let me know if I'm misinterpreting or overlooking some aspect of the process.
Would really love to hear some opinions of the most respected voices I know of on this.

Finally completed synchronization of the blockchain via Parmanode (had to take a week long fishing trip in the middle of the synch and my hardware traveled with me). I'm really enjoying the way @npub1ltt…k97y constructed his software. It's just guided enough to be easy and when I'm feeling particularly nerdy, I can dig into the commands he's stringing together and learn/audit what's actually happening.
Today's mission is Electrum Rust Server and LND so I can privately use a lightning wallet on @npub18dt…8vu6
Very new to this corner of tech so, any and all feedback is VERY welcome.

Every dog I've had... in my arms. Its absolutely gut wrenching and I sobbed like a child for days each time. hardest and most worthwhile thing I've ever done, bar none. Still chokes me up to even think about. The depth of emotional connection cannot be overstated.

Just watched the latest Pompleano episode. Gave me a new perspective on pandering politicians. Essentially, if politicians actually listen to the populace and modify their policies based on the feedback, I'd typically call that pandering. However, if they follow through with more than just words, they're actually doing their jobs. Seems straightforward but I hadn't ever considered it that way.

Wow. insightful. I'll try this on my Pops this evening. I suspect he will conflate the "medium" of interne used to exchange fiat "value" between brick and mortar organizations (Visa / MasterCard) with Bitcoin's unique ability to ONLY exist in that space. Convincing him that literally IS the utility has been rough going.

Yes!
People seem to have an innate bias towards conviction. It drives me batty trying to talk with someone when they're only really interested in telling you what they "know" as a means of asserting their worth. I think people drastically undervalue intellectual discovery, which is completely impossible if the conversational partner is nothing more than a dispenser of "wisdom".
