‘controlling the narrative’ is such a systemic issue and used by so many and really doesn’t have a basis in reality because they fabricate something as the ‘new truth’ which is then repeated enough and regurgitated enough that it ends up being used as ‘evidence’ to perpetuate said ‘new truth’ to the point that it just goes round and round - where it stops nobody knows.
I am very appreciative of the community here to have some refuge from all the above.

I have scoured my files and cannot find the original Ableton project files for a track that I published back in 2022 titled "Summit" 😔
I was a little nostalgic about some of the pieces I made back then and wanted to go back and see if I could take a stab at remastering (perhaps mixing them again). Sadly, this one will probably have to stay as is.

great observations. Adding on to this I have noted that capitalistic systems will latch on to those feelings and exploit them so that they can "sell you happiness" in whatever form that comes in.

I have officially cancelled my #AppleMusic subscription and am planning to shift to exclusively buying all my music.
For me, I found having the streaming music at my fingertips made me lazy. Also the curation was really starting to bug me. Much in the same reason for why I shifted to Mastodon, I want to shift how I consume music.
Looking forward to engaging more. Especially with all the lovely people that make music on here.

My question is where is the creativity? For me creativity is a culmination of lived experiences, trial and error, learning, failing, and injecting an element of oneself into something that is shared with others.
AI in my opinion can provide starting points for these endeavours, sure. But when it becomes 90% of the process, is that creativity? My opinion is no, because it’s the process not the output that is important.

So I got to follow a thread where a self titled AI Music Creator attempted to gain support for their rights as an artist. It was very interesting to watch the discussion amongst all involved but, for me, it all boiled down to what the purpose of AI is in these circumstances.
The answer, for the majority of those that double down on this, is that they are more concerned with mass producing an end product. Seemingly like a factory or industrialized process.
