The fans are at least easy to replace if they ever go bad or if you want to upgrade them. I'm wondering how much the performance would be boosted by adding stators.
I've been using them on 120mm fans for busting hot spots in an equipment room at work and they're just glorious.

on one side of this, the good news is that a lot of the devices have no reason to be online for normal functionality and can be air gapped to hell
on the other side though, even if a network is air gapped, lateral movement of scum like ransomware can still disable the devices and if nobody took a disk image of it while it was still working, it's toast

Yup. Folsom Boulevard runs out from Sacramento to Folsom where the prison is. It follows the alignment of that former railroad. Part of it is right of way used by, I believe, Union Pacific for freight operations, and part of it carries the SacRT Light Rail. The light rail line ends a few hundred feet from the original eastern terminus and station of the old railroad, which is preserved as a museum along with their locomotive turntable. It's really cute riding the light rail up there

seeing this reminded me of a disused station here along Folsom Boulevard in Sacramento. I had seen it a while back, guessed it was an old station, but couldn't find much info on it. Seems it was Routier station on the old Sacramento Valley Railroad, then at some point a real estate office, the 49er Cafe, and had some other rotation of short lived uses after that.

that's how I did mine in Florida. I'd just layer it up. I'd also rotate a compost pile around - I'd keep it on one area for a while, then when it was time to rotate a crop I'd grab a potato fork and shift the remaining material on the compost pile over on top of the old plants until I was left with an elevated layer of finished compost and plant there.
It was like, plant your stuff then step back quickly so it doesn't ding you in the chin as it launches like a rocket

one interesting thing I ran into a few years ago that I'd like to hope is still true: calling the Walt Disney World resorts is a hilarious adventure. there are like, abandoned extensions everywhere, and call center scripts that still refer to them, but surprise! I could be mistaken but the only things I notice are some passive components present on one that aren't on the other, possibly decoupling capacitors. The one that has more of them on the left side also has a set of pads that aren't there on the one that doesn't have those additional parts, so it's probably two different PCB revisions in play. Is the part at the bottom the battery management/protection board? It would in no way surprise me for that to have multiple variants

it's not exactly biphase as much as you just have access to all three pins coming out of a center-tapped winding on the transformer. this four prong plug has L1 N L2 and ground with L1/L2 being the far ends of the winding for 240v. I'm glad this adapter has presumably 15 amp breakers for each of the NEMA 15 amp receptacles

So my company has officially announced plans to cash out most of the operation I work for and I'm probably going to either get downsized out or wind up being the last one keeping the lights lit on a sinking ship, which I would very much rather not do.
Anyone looking for a multi skilled RF/electronics/IT technician whose entire industry was just pulled from under them and thrown down the grinder to sell for scrap? I would say broadcast engineer, but that's pretty much obsolete now.
