The #AirIndia plane crash is so tragic. I was just on a Boeing 787 last month. The planes are modern in every way.
I did some research, and every single fatal hull-loss accident on major commercial carriers in the last 10 years involved #Boeing. Zero #Airbus accidents on major airlines during that time.

Just a note on this, all of this Fediverse integration appears to be one way. No outside content being shared into Threads. And so by definition, the place to consume the best content is....inside Threads. Result = user retention.

I'm desensitized to news like this, and it pisses me off. No administration, Blue or Red, ever has the balls to take on the gun epidemic we have in the country.
Start with the overwhelmingly popular universal background checks. Put in waiting periods. Ban assault rifles.

My wife is Mexican and from Mexico City. The first time I went, I was blown away. Yes, I was one of those ignorant Americans who had a mental picture of what the city was like - and boy was I wrong. It's absolutely stunning, the mix of city and nature, and is my favorite city in the world. Plus, the people are just so kind.

Seeing #PavelDurov arrested is a reminder of the fundamental issue with privately owned social media, and makes me reflect on my Twitter, Facebook, IG, and WhatsApp accounts.
