"beat" is maybe a loaded term but I mean that every faceoff between platforms becomes inappropriately lopsided compared to what you would expect. I'd expect maybe 90% would go with the popular platform and 10% would take the alternative, but it never works like that. It rather ends up being 99.95% vs 0.05% every time.
I'm realizing though that there's probably a disconnect here because our feeds look wildly different. I don't see news hardly at all and I rarely see drama so it's hard for me to think of this site as anything like a news aggregator.

the design flaws are much deeper than that. Don't even get me started on them having the worst UI and menu design I've ever seen in my life which very much mentally preps you for disappointment.
I think it's widely accepted at this point that a lot of these megaflops are from millennial "toxic positivity" culture which I'm sure will be taken as something obvious in 20 years when we're onto the next brand new problem.
I don't understand how you end up with a menu system or character designs like that if people's work was able to be criticized.

I've played Arc Raiders a fair bit and I participated in the Marathon beta. Marathon feels pretty terrible to play and there's a ton of subtle environmental/encounter design that it's missing. It would be a big post to list everything but at the end of the day, in Arc you feel like every death is a learning experience of something you could have done different because you generally had lots of warning things were going wrong. In Marathon you generally just die randomly without warning or get overwhelmed by roboniggers in a way that's just sheer retard firepower and like "what am I supposed to do about that???"
