Agree. I dunno why XMR people does use that argument too much when:
1. Is not true
2. IMO have not stadistical relevance talk about percentages of a really small sample.
Also El Salvador case is funny cuz they and Ecuador are the less people to have reasons to use crypto. Because the real use case of crypto in Latin America is getting a proxy for USD.

Is it possible to know what we shouldn’t do to avoid forced closure? Or at least some kind of notification that we are at risk of force closures? The more info we have the best we can do a better planing to avoid losing money..

I don’t understand your point about swaps. Every crypto can do it and (imo) it does not sum to the conversation.
Yes crypto’s are niche but Moreno is even more because (sadly) is restricted from a lot of ramps and commerce (BinacePay, Bitrefill.. and so on).
My point: we can not say Monero is more used because in the few market that accept both, monero users spend more there. I could use another crypto market and compare Bitcoin payments against USDT and say “see bitcoin is more used that USDT”. Maybe it’s true, maybe not. But that does not look like the best measurement.

I am not against monero but this statement has it flaws. They talked about volume (dollar valued) instead of transactions. Which means people who has Moreno is more open to give away their coins rather than bitcoin owners.
Yes, we could argue that Moreno incentive to spend more (last year have been more stable than bitcoin). So it could be more easy to use it as MoE. Same happens with fiat vs cryptocurrencies (in general). As the same happens with people from Argentina/Venezuela who spend more their national currencies than the dollar they hold.

Tras medio año usando Nostr puedo decir que me he enganchado. A su ecosistema, a la gente y sus proyectos.
Empecé usando Primal, quizás la opción más cómoda y fácil cuando apenas llegamos. Pero sentía que me estaba perdiendo de algo así que empecé a probar más clientes. Y ha sido la mejor decisión. Me encanta #Olas, Vaklave, Fountain, HiveTalk, 0xChat..
Ahora me he independizado de mi primer cliente y he decidido pasar a otras apps. Ahora escribo desde YakiHonne, mañana quizás desde Damus o NoStrudel. Y además puedo llevarme mi wallet a todos lados con NWC.
Si eres nuevo tómatelo con calma, pero te invito a probar un poco más de las opciones que te ofrece Nostr.

Me voló la cabeza la idea de @npub1lxk…5xlc de servir de “banco” de nuestro entorno.
Normalmente pensamos en descentralización como si tuviera que ser millones de puntos atomizados, cada usuario con su nodo. Cuando puede haber puntos medios de organización: custodios de confianza de nuestra “polis”.
Conlleva una gran responsabilidad pero puede ser una buena alternativa a la concentración masiva, o al menos un punto transitorio mientras aprenden y se emancipan los nuevos que van llegando.

Según entiendo:
Fountain no es nativa de Nostr, sino que integró nostr a posteriori. La función de wallet ya la tenían desde antes de la integración. Por eso aunque inicies sesión con tu perfil nostr, los “zaps” que recibas desde fountain irán a la wallet interna de la aplicación y no a la wallet de tu perfil de nostr.

Yo he empezado a spamear con que usen fountain/zapstream como plataforma adicional. Quizás sea una opción, creo que se abruman al ver que es tantas cosas y mejor recomendar el cliente especializado para las necesidades de cada quien.
(Una idea que tampoco es que me haya funcionado)

My experience with other nostr-store was not good. Once I paid but there was not notification for me or the seller.
My point: it would be nice to “save” the process before paying so if your order fails you can stay “on process” or something so the merchant can notice if there is a problem during the payment (also the customer). I helps me a lot to notice problems on my Wordpress page.

Probando AlbyHub me he acordado de esto.. también podría ser vía Lightning con una cuenta-adjunta (o familiar, creo que llaman ellos). Se deja un qr reutilizable para hacer aportaciones/donaciones periódicas y adentro del cerdito las frases de recuperación.
En albygo está la opción de Watch-only, donde el niño puede hacer seguimiento de sus ahorros. O una cuenta de gastos limitados. Donde pueda disponer de una parte de “la paga”. Y el excedente sirva para ahorro.

Ya no vivo allí así que desconozco el manejo actual, pero de lo que llegue a vivir era así: subían los precios > imprimen billetes nuevos con más zeros hasta que llega a denominarse en miles/millones > quitan ceros para denominarse en decenas y cientos > vuelve a subir, y así. Crecí con billletes de 50k y me fui con billetes de 50. Hoy ninguno de esos son válidos. El de millón me lo dieron de regalo

Sí, testflight es como la cuenta B del App Store. Ahí se suben apps en fase beta o de prueba.
También puedes generar otra nsec o “cuenta” nostr para no ligarla a esta que usas.
Actualmente no hay mucha variedad de artistas en Wavlake pero algo puedes encontrar o subir tú cosas si haces algo del estilo.

After that you could receive zaps. To send (on Damus) there are extra steps but first let people send you hh
