this is the first ever marketplace based on nostr, it is a trial only, there will be thousands of active markets, what can we do about it?
It was parked on our bao relay for months as we were building it all up, but we are apporaching the mainnet with real sats, not just signet sats hence it is not a spam it's how the nostr works, we started pushing to multiple relays so we get sufficiently decentralised and nobody can stop prediction markets. It is not polymarket with a backend, it is not predyx taking sats into a custody... Sats are in non-custodial contracts...
That said polls with zaps are not markets unitl they get converted to a market we do however display both on a single card
We can run markets on our custom NIP but this is not how open protocol works, we store markets on relays so nobody can tamper with them and take them down...
This project has started in September 2025, when polls with zaps did not even exist and polls were not that popular...
NOSTR clients might just put polls into separate tabs and it can help, mute is a great solution also

These IDEs basically hover up the contents of your hard drive and send to remote servers.
The researcher found concerning behaviors in Windsurf :

That's exactly what we need.
We are currently using nip59 + nip44 customised chat but the roadmap is leading us to the bug free WhiteNoise implementation.
The only question that persist is should we do CAPTCHA to make sure bots are in a dedicated channels only?

On the mainnet yes, on demo not, our demo is using only virtual SATs, demo will stay forever to train and learn how to use the platform.
The beta mainnet with real payments will launch in a few weeks.
Users can trade and also create their own markets and earn fees on that markets.
Polymarket is controlling the markets and is creating the markets. Users can trade only, and offers can be taken down. There is no bitcoin to trade with on Polymarket.
BAO markets is a protocol. Offers will be visible on all nostr clients, clients over time will allow to take trades inside the app.
Markets will show up on the feed like any other message to be zapped yes/no. Once market resolves users get paid to their wallets automatically.
What is interesting is ecash will be also allowed, cashu for private payments.
Users by default are in the private mode. This means nobody can identify the creator of the market and traders. Everything is encrypted and distributed across relays. Your nostr ID decrypts your portfolio with current trades and markets.

Relay Hints: The Quiet Innovation Making Nostr Links Truly Decentralized
There's something happening in Nostr that doesn't get nearly enough attention: relay hints embedded directly into links.
It sounds small. It's not.
In every other social protocol, when you link to a post or a profile, you're pointing to a server. A URL on Twitter points to twitter.com. A link on Mastodon points to a specific instance. The content lives there, and if there goes down, your link is dead. We've just accepted this as normal — that links are leashes tethered to infrastructure someone else controls.
Nostr flips this entirely.
When you reference a note or a profile in Nostr, you're not linking to a server. You're embedding a self-contained treasure map — an event ID, the author's public key, and a set of relay hints — all packed into a single bech32-encoded string. The relay hints whisper: "Hey, last time I checked, you could find this content over here, here, and here."
But here's the beautiful part — those hints are just suggestions. If those relays disappear tomorrow, any client can still resolve the link by searching other relays. The identity of the content is cryptographic (tied to keys and signatures), not geographic (tied to a domain). The link doesn't break just because a server does.
Think about what this actually means:
Every nostr:nevent1... link you drop into a post is a little act of rebellion against centralized infrastructure. It says: this content exists, it's signed by this person, and here are some places you might find it — but the content isn't owned by any of them.
No single relay can hold your links hostage. No domain expiration can rot your references. No corporate acquisition can enshrine your conversations behind a login wall. The content is sovereign, and the links respect that sovereignty.
This is NIP-19 and NIP-27 working together — a type-length-value encoding scheme that lets you stuff relay URLs, public keys, event identifiers, and metadata into a compact, portable string.
It's elegant and it's practical. Two or three relay hints give you redundancy. The cryptographic identifiers give you certainty. Together, they give you something the web has never really had: links that survive the death of the servers they point to.
We've spent decades building a web where every link is a prayer that some server, somewhere, keeps its lights on. Nostr relay hints are a fundamentally different bet — that content, identity, and discoverability can be decoupled from any single point of failure.
It's not just an engineering choice. It's a philosophical one.
And it might be the most underappreciated innovation in the protocol.

After two weeks of Demo phase, we will start opening the platform with real time offers, lightning/NWC payments
BAO has no custody over the funds, at any time, markets get resolved based on the conditions set by the market creator.
