I’ve spent more time today trying to understand one passing sentence in a book by watching a long academic lecture about it than I have actually reading the book. And I still don’t get it. @nprofile…dfhn the problem with getting them in good shape isn’t price, it’s getting them at all. Tagore in Dutch is a rarity on eBay. (I only buy Tagore on eBay because I don’t trust a listing without multiple good photos. I’ve been burned too many times.)
I don’t buy vintage type specimens at all anymore. I lost interest in the whole type specimen thing. The only specimen I’ve bought years was Rian Hughes’ latest kickstarter.

The hospital does not accept my insurance plan. The hospital also does not accept “self-pay.” Which means that I cannot even pay for services myself. My appointment was canceled and now I have to find a new doctor. Think about that before you come to this country.

Opened Netflix. There’s my font, title of a cool new movie. People are using it quite a bit these days. I should really release the oblique version I did years ago.

You can do corpus analysis with Gemini. It works with the KJV, Wikipedia, and some of the free corpora online. It’s pretty cool.

At Ozzfest 1997 they played Beavis and Butthead on the big screens between the Sabbath and Ozzy sets. I was sitting on the lawn smoking weed with two hippies. Are there any sheet feed scanners that can do 300+ DPI scans well? I have a type specimen with a screw binding that I want to unscrew and scan. But it’s hundreds of pages so I’m not going to do it manually.
