Hiking Lila Lake part 3. Meadow plants. Photo 1: our native meadow rue (Thalictrum occidentale), a plant I don't see too often. Photos 2-3: another uncommon plant, our native monkshood (Aconitum colombianum), which is quite poisonous but which will soon open these buds into pretty purple flowers. 4: I have this in my garden, woolly sunflower or Oregon sunshine (Eriophyllum lanatum), an easy-to-grow groundcover for sunny spots.
