I'd argue that the first half of Discovery was fine. Once they transitioned to the mirror universe it all fell apart. I fucking LOVE Lorca... right up until they ruined him in the mirror universe.

In fact, I'd argue that they killed off the 2 most compelling characters in Discovery in the first season
(Lorca and Georgiou).
