I love the flavor profile of black walnuts. My grandfather used to collect his own, process them and pick the nuts out of the shells in the winter months. Then my grandmother would make tasty cookies, cakes, or brownies topped with them. I think this is part of the reason why I love the flavor of black walnuts. They are Love to me.
