This is a simple homemade ice cream recipe for people who don't have
an ice cream maker. Using just a bowl and a small hand blender, you
can still achieve a thick, fluffy texture similar to traditional churned
ice cream. The process works by periodically blending the mixture while
it freezes, which keeps ice crystals small and creates a smoother
result.
Ingredients:
4 egg yolks
1 pint heavy cream (preferably A2 milk cream)
1-2 teaspoons or tablespoons honey
1-2 teaspoons or tablespoons maple syrup
1 pinch salt flakes

Cacao nibs
Optional - Oshi #hodlbutter of course :)
Equipment:
Small mixing bowl
Hand blender
Freezer
Plastic wrap or towel for covering the bowl
Instructions:
1. Separate the egg yolks and place them in a small mixing bowl.
2. Pour in the pint of heavy cream. The cream is key for creating a
thick and fluffy ice cream texture.
3. Add honey and maple syrup (about 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon each,
depending on sweetness).
4. Add a small pinch of salt flakes.
5. Blend the mixture with a hand blender for about 5 minutes, until
it thickens.
6. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a towel and place it in the
freezer for about 1 hour.
7. Remove from the freezer and blend again for 1-2 minutes.
8. Return to the freezer for another 1-2 hours.
9. Repeat the freeze-and-blend cycle 1-2 more times to break up
ice crystals and create a smoother texture.
10. During the final blend, mix in the Bitcoin Beans 100% cacao and
cacao nibs to taste.
11. Freeze until firm.
Serving:
If frozen overnight, move the bowl to the refrigerator or counter for
a short time before serving so it softens slightly and scoops easily.
Enjoy!

Wtf is Gianduia?
Gianduia (jahn-DOO-yah) is a traditional Italian confection from Turin, dating back to the early 19th century born when local chocolatiers began blending chocolate with the prized Piedmontese hazelnuts during a cocoa shortage. Nutella is actually its modern descendant (which became an awful product, as we know...).
What I made here is a handcrafted gianduia bar made with hazelnuts caramelized in maple sugar and panela (from @npub1jx7…2c49), then blended into a mix of coarse and fine pieces, folded into tempered 70% Mexican stone ground dark chocolate.
The varied grind gives each bar a unique texture - part crunch, part melt - and the caramel adds a rich, natural sweetness that perfectly balances the dark chocolate. Hand-tempered, set, and cut individually, so no two bars are exactly alike!

I’m not entirely convinced the phrase “artificial intelligence” captures what’s really going on. Intelligence is a spectrum of information processing, and what we’re seeing in machines is another form of that process emerging through a different medium.
That said, it’s also fair to point out that current AI isn’t the same as human intelligence. It doesn’t possess consciousness, intention, or understanding in the way biological systems do. In that sense, calling it “artificial” - meaning engineered rather than evolved - is probably accurate.
Still, the term can be a bit misleading because it suggests something fundamentally unreal or separate. What we’re actually dealing with is intelligence-like behavior arising from the same physical universe, just expressed through silicon and code instead of neurons and biology.

While making dinner tonight, I started wondering how many people actually cook at home.
For me, it’s almost every meal. If I’m home, I’m cooking. I rarely dinning out.
There’s just something about preparing your own food. It slows the day down. It feels intentional. It’s more creative which tends to be my natural state.

I accept bitcoin because it’s real money. I accept bitcoin because it’s better money. More than that, I accept bitcoin because it exists outside the financial system - a system that extracts my time and value. As a business owner, I want my hard work rewarded by the hardest money available. Hard work deserves the hardest money. It’s a simple equation.
Every business decides for itself what it’s willing to accept as payment. Personally, I’ve started taking Monero too. After a few Monero bros reached out, interested in my products, I listened, learned, and decided to meet them where they are. Being open to other options just makes sense.
It’s also important to recognize that some bitcoiners take things further than others. They run their own nodes, validate transactions, acquire non-KYC bitcoin, and actually use their bitcoin to meet day-to-day fiat expenses. That’s where I’m at, because it works for me. Not everyone will get there, but it’s something worth pursuing.
Recently, a local farmers market vendor who makes sourdough bread asked if they could sell my butter under their brand after I told them what I produce. It’s an ideal partnership: I focus solely on making quality butter, and they handle the market and customer side - which I never wanted to do anyway. They tasted the butter and loved it; now, they’re excited to move forward. They’ll pay me in fiat, and that’s perfectly fine. I’ll either reinvest it into the business or swap it for more bitcoin.
At the end of the day, bitcoin remains my preferred payment method. On every front - practical, moral, and ethical - it aligns with what I believe in. I truly think it’s a system worth supporting and fighting for.
I’m doing the proof of work, and that decision has paid off.
In the end, you’re free to do whatever you want with your money. That’s the beauty of it.
