I've been on Arch for years now. As for normies I recommend Pop, also as for software at some point people need to understand Linux is *NOT* Windows, and never will be. Some software won't make the jump and people need to accept they've been had by vendor lock-in and stop whining about it. Or continue to be bent over and fucked by Microsoft.
