well, privacy, also safety and flexible schedule, not ending service at 7pm with the closest stations about 8 blocks from anywhere you need to get to would get me taking them more often. (It annoys me to no end i have a bus stop and train station within 3 blocks of my house and neither goes anywhere remotely useful for me). And unfortunately small rail cars don't really fix that second issue
