there is now a market protocol on nostr. only a matter of time until someone puts it on tor. black market server operators are very conservative and go with the flow on the popular trends in security, so a lot of darkweb sites are populated with moneros, who think monero is so much better but the majority of darkweb sites accept bitcoin, and use mixers, since forever. almost nobody has ever been in trouble for the traces their activity leaves on the bitcoin chain. chainanalysis is extremely overhyped, and ineffective. but the bureaucrats buy into their marketing. so they continue to promote this contrafactual idea that bitcoin is not private, and the moneros jump all over that because their whole faith in monero is based on the idea that it somehow improved over bitcoin's UTXO privacy. spoiler alert: it didn't. that's why moneros grind my gears so much, the science is against them. monero privacy protection is way less than if you just use lightning.
