Kind of off topic. All of my close college friends work for US Military contractors (and all of their family members). The stuff they tell me consistently blows my mind. One works for an engineering contractor that has no specialty, they just bid on whatever the teams say they can do. Recently they were contracted to build and equip off-the-shelf, enterprise server hardware, into portable racks with other custom radio/sat tech that could be fitted onto planes, and some air dropped and survive. Presumably somewhere in the middle east were my other friends are currently deployed.
