For real. No part of the west coast is as affordable as it once was.

There are tech and logistics companies popping up around here. I have no idea what they pay. The region is changing from forestry and fisheries into tech and entertainment. Also wineries. The people behind the Staples Center are here to build another arena. The Trail Blazers got sold, so they get another arena (or else). There are jobs, but they might get filled by advertising locally.

Still, Portland is not a completely 24-hour city like Los Angeles (but waaaaaay better than San Jose), although it's getting there. I don't mind living nearby.
