I don't think del Toro would have wanted to make this film, so I'll spare you what I think he could have brought to it.

Before we saw it though, Spouse said he thought that Sam Raimi would be a better director for an adaptation of Homer's Odyssey than Chris Nolan. After we saw it, I told him he's right. This film needed a director with horror sensibilities & a sense of humor.
