It was £2 a ball, and it's pure wool! If I had enough to double up and still get a jumper or a cardigan, I'd probably try it. But I am not small so don't think there would be quite enough. I agree about making one item that uses most/all of it.
Might watch a few videos for I aspiration while I finish the cake blanket.
