sadly I took it as fact handed to me by elders. I vehicular cycled hard in my 20s and oddly enjoyed it?? I was a “bicycle as transportation” educator in public schools for a while and we also taught a version of it to kids😭

Now that I’m older and less macho I welcome a different framework. also the way cars and road rage has exponentially grown, it really isn’t a safe strategy for many situations anymore
