Vehicular cycling is so weird to me.

The advantage of a bike is I'm not a car and I don't have to act like one. I can instantly become a pedestrian at any moment

When I'm driving my car, I get out of the way of people who want to go faster than I am. Why wouldn't I do the same thing on my bicycle which is way slower?

It just never made sense to me. Most times when the vehicular cyclists would "take the lane" I just "hop off and jaywalk" or cycle in the oncoming lane
