Substitute your native language for "English" there (this being a post in English, I tend to assume either native or hard-won skill in that language), tho my least bad non-English language training started in grade school & was on Sesame Street before that.
And yeah, lifelong practice at any language is valid. I just don't think outsourcing that to a person or machine is particularly good for you.
