For me, this is a return back to the time before I started to use step mashes and temperature control. I have learned a lot about brewing in the meantime and I want to see if I can make a great Amber Ale by now instead of just a decent one.
Plus the Cascade plant gave me enough cones last year to make a full batch of beer with it and I am super excited to see how my German-grown Cascade compares to what I remember about the original stuff from Oregon.
