I’m 64 and I have even voted for a Republican in the past. What you say about David is pretty much the history of most white boys of the Deep South. I suspect he’s learned a great deal after 4 years at Harvard. And since he knows a number of Republicans rather well, he knows that not all of them are evil incarnate like Trump/Miller et al. I’m not sure he’s ready to be vice chair of the DNC, but nothing you’ve said disqualifies him.
