I don't have to look far to see culture disconnected from ethnicity. I know children adopted in infancy who exemplify nurture's triumph over nature.

I can't get on board with religion being thrown in the mix, either. The Christians I grew up around actually believe in virgin birth, resurrection, and other ridiculousness. I think I can align with Christian values without literally believing things that are physically impossible. What's wrong with that?
