I’ve always enjoyed studying how some artists create the impression of something without filling in all the details. Both approaches require skill.

I’d say sometimes I want to fill in all the details and create an accurate depiction of the subject (hello to my autistic side!) and other times I want the same quality of picture but faster and more fun (hello to my ADHD side!)

This sketch took just a few minutes of playing and looks quite different to my more detailed art. I dream of having a dedicated space for art one day where I can do similar with paint on a huge canvas, the space allowing me to use big gestures with my arms and not be confined to little movements of my hand.
