I sketched this from a photo since sketching on the street would be a bit of a challenge in such a touristy place! Even in February.
I can tell this is an unfinished sketch because of how light the pencil is - I usually go back over some details to help certain features stand out. But doors are not my passion and this was just practice.
I think next time I might even try using a bit of artistic licence to build out the sparse plant next to the door so that it frames the door a bit more. But sometimes, I will admit, I prefer to sketch an accurate “truth” of what I saw rather than aim for a pleasing result.
