I' m just a stupid pleb here, but agreed with everything you said man.
But what worries me is not the change per se (I think the fees and the free market decides is the best way), it's the way it has been carried out by core (can we say fishy? Can we say that something is clearly not right there?).
Hopefully it has been a good event to wake some ppl up to pay more attention and to "decentralize" btc implementations
