It used to be common knowledge to never use your real name in the internet before the facebook, and even in the first years after facebook it was common knowledge to never shitpost nor post any sort of political or otherwise controversial opinion from the account that had your name, address and employer, untill the older generations got into facebook and started using every other social media and website in the same manner always showcasing publically whom they worked for as a performance to set themselves as some kind of experts in a "i work at company, my opinion matters more" as an appeal to expertise fallacy.
