Man is perfectly capable of judging what is good or evil according to man's own interests. Man just should never assume that God shares man's interests. The truth of the matter is yes, God creates and enables a lot of things that man considers evil.

One more thing, just because God created man doesn't mean God is man's friend. You raise animals for slaughter, don't you? You feed and shelter them. Are you their "friend"? Of course not.
