This is why I think the 'couchfucker' meme should've never dropped off, as well as why I'm hoping that the Epstein files follow them around until their dying days. Because there's *good* weird, the positive and creative and unique and fascinating, and then there's the bad kind of weird, that smells like cheap lube and fake leather, the kind that never does anything positive but just kind of hangs there, creeping people out.
And yeah, creepy. I want fascism to be *creepy* again. I want the people involved to be shown as invasive and obsessed and not the sort of folks who you want to follow, the kind of assholes you'd be afraid of finding in a dark alley. I want them to be known for what they are, pedophiles and rapists and predators. Because that's what they're doing, isn't it? Normalizing their kind of creepy as Just Something People Do, while shitting all over people who just want to live as themselves without hurting anyone else.
Every subculture, every in-group, from the punks to the band geeks to the theater kids to, yeah, the knitting and coding weirdos and the hardcore gamers, needs to get on board with ostracizing them, saying, 'No way, we're weird, but you're *creepy.*'
