We use the large (maybe 2 L) corelle serving bowl with a plate for a lid to do microwave popcorn. Pretty much perfect for 1/4 cup of kernels at 4 minutes.
Sometimes I'll add oil or butter;other times just sprinkle with cheap grated pizza cheese.
