I also think in the conclusion we are the same. But I disagree in the withholding. I think freedom is actually not this easy to understand. And it is not something every human wants in the same way.

I belief all humans have some attraction to freedom and some attraction to safety. But they are clear counters in many way.

So I think what you might understand as withholding is simply people that value safety higher than you do coupled with lack of knowledge.

Knowledge is only gained by energy intensive work. nd we know that usually it is normal to minimize energy expenditure. Discipline is needed to learn. And learning is needed to free oneself.

I agree that there is a pattern for the lack of freedom. But would say this is what we are automatically when we do not learn. 100% freedom is unreachable. Since it would mean to know everything at once. Which is not within a humans capability.
So yes there is a pattern. But the pattern is natural, not man-made.
