I'm really not sure what you're getting at. It seems like you want to say something like;
They are opportunistic grifters, and they could just change their policy settings after the election, by simple majority of a handful of people.
But if you actually came out and said that, you'd have to contend with the fact that you're describing Labour's history since the 1980s (worse under Hipkins). In the time TOP has existed, their policy has been as consistent as the Greens', if not more so.
