I appreciate this suggestion a lot. Here is where my head is at with Patreon.

So, I keep looking at Patreon out of the corner of my eye, because they do their own processing, but I'm nervous because I know I've heard of multiple times they've hurt their customers and seemingly bowed to political pressure on issues. Admittedly, I don't know the full details aside from the fact that they caught my attention in the past.

I'm not writing them off completely, but I'm admitting they make me squeamish. I'm curious to know what type of reassurance is felt by others using them.
