The humble bowl was super popular amongst Indian immigrants who shopped at Kmart in the 70s. I am sure it was under $5, probably $2 or $3. Eventually the one we had developed a crack after 20 years of hard use. So as a young person I wrote to the company to see about getting a replacement since they had long since disappeared from local stores. Pre-internet/website, they emailed me a catalog, that is when I discovered they had much more to offer.
