to be fair, the explanation makes sense, and it's very likely this was a bug. The way this kind of stuff works in games is that they create a hidden stat for characters and your actions will increase or reduce this stat, and then the dialogue and other interactions will change based on when this stat reaches certain thresholds. If they put the "horny" threshold too low (or if they make the interactions change this hidden stat too much), characters may want to fuck you as soon as you greet them the first time.

And these kinds of bugs happen. I can't remember details of the exact game and character now, but I recall it got famous enough that it was a trope for some time, and IIRC everyone thought it was so funny that the devs left it like that and made mentions of it in the sequels, but the gist of it was that if you increased your "friendship" with this character too much the hidden stat would overflow and become a negative number, and then the character would suddenly start hating you and leave the party.
